Welcome to El Paso 911

Located in El Paso, Texas, the El Paso 911 District provides enhanced 911 service for the more than 700,000 citizens living and working in El Paso County. Created in 1987, the district has dedicated itself to deploying technology which provides our community with the critical infrastructure --equipment, connectivity, software, maintenance and support-- used by Public Safety entities to receive the 911 call and dispatch emergency responders.

The District supports El Paso’s Public Safety entities county-wide by providing the phone systems that deliver the 911 call to a Public Safety Telecommunicator, a Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD) that documents and coordinates responder’s actions, network connections among various radio systems which promote interoperability, and Geographic Information System (GIS) services which provide maps to Public Safety entities for response-routing and analysis purposes.
April Marks National 9-1-1 Education Month and Telecommunicators Week (April 13-19, 2014)

As the annual national Telecommunicatior Weeks gets underway April 13-19, 2014, the El Paso County 9-1-1 District salutes our area's Telecommunicators and Telecommunicators everywhere! Almost every emergency response starts with a 9-1-1 operator's, "9-1-1, Where is your emergency?" Telecommunicators are the bridge between people needing emergency assistance and the Fire and Law Enforcement responders that are ready to help. Quite literally, they are the very first to respond to an emergency as they answer the call, offer pre-arrival help and instruction, dispatch Fire and Law Enforcement officers and coordinate and assist their efforts. Telecommunicators are a vital part of the Public Safety and Law Enforcement teams that work to keep our community safe. Thanks Telecommunicators, for your hard work and dedication to our Community's safety!
