About The Event

First responders are accustomed to prioritizing others over themselves. This 8-hour presentation delves into smashing the stigma of compromised mental health, wellness, and interpersonal understanding. We explore a comprehensive PTSD timeline, covering events leading to PTSD, risk factors, triggers, warning signs, diagnosis, and avenues for seeking help and supporting others in their journey.

This session underscores the significance of prioritizing self-care by putting on an oxygen mask on ourselves before trying to help others. By focusing on our mental health and wellness, we aim to increase awareness and better nurture ourselves and one another, ultimately contributing to saving lives on both sides of the call.
