9-1-1

 9-1-1 is only for emergencies: Police, Fire, Medical.

  •  Remain Calm and know your location.
  • Stay on the line and do not hang up, even when you've accidentally dialed.
  • Answer all questions and follow all instructions.
  • You can also contact 9-1-1 through text.
  • Voice calls remain the most efficient and fastest way to contact 9-1-1.
  • "Call if you can, text if you can't"

9-8-8

 9-8-8 is the national 3-digit Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

  • 9-8-8 is available 24/7 in English and Spanish.
  • 9-8-8 provides confidential support services for people in distress and experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Texting is also available 24/7 in English and Spanish.

3-1-1

 3-1-1 is a City of El Paso service for non-emergency and municipal services for residents of El Paso.

  • 3-1-1 acts as the city's reporting and citizen information hotline.
  • Reasons to call 3-1-1:
    • Traffic signal issues
    • Reporting graffiti and potholes
    • Trash and weed complaints
    • Noise complaints
    • Hours and locations for libraries, pools, and the Zoo

8-1-1

 Texas law mandates that individuals must contact 8-1-1 before commencing any digging activities.

  • 8-1-1- will mark utility lines to avoid any accidental hit to gas, water, or electrical lines.
