About The Event

One of the most difficult positions in emergency communications is supervisor. One day you’re one of the group, the next day you’re the boss with little preparation for the new role. To manage this transition effectively, it’s important to understand what to focus on, whether it’s navigating conflict or setting a leadership example. This class offers essential tools for success in your supervisor role and how to make a positive impact at your center.

Participants will learn proven tools to:

  • Give feedback in a way that informs and empowers
  • Inspire a culture of peer-to-peer accountability
  • Understand the critical importance of following up
  • Practice the most effective way to interact up the chain of command

TCOLE documentation will be made available to the Agency Training Coordinator or Administrator for outside course reporting.

NMLEA Accredited; a certificate of course completion will be provided to the Agency Training Coordinator or Administrator for outside course reporting.
