Scott Calderwood brings over 35 years of experience as a dedicated public safety professional to his role as the Executive Director of the El Paso County 911 District. With a distinguished career that includes serving as a retired fire chief, former emergency management coordinator, and a 9-1-1 executive.

Currently, Scott’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in developing one of the most successful Next Generation 9-1-1 facilities in the country. His commitment to innovation and excellence ensures that the El Paso County community benefits from state-of-the-art emergency communication services.

Scott is passionate about leadership within the 9-1-1 community and actively contributes to the field by serving on several 9-1-1 industry partner customer advisory boards. He also holds the position of Vice-Chair of the Texas 9-1-1 Alliance, where he collaborates with other leaders to advance the effectiveness and reach of emergency response systems across the state.

Scott's extensive experience and dedication to public safety have made him a respected leader in the field, and his ongoing contributions continue to enhance the capabilities and performance of emergency services in El Paso County and beyond.
